I consider it a privilege to tell the story of your business.  Writing a business plan or crafting an investor presentation is a multiple-disipline endeavor requiring a broad knowledge base.  It is equal parts creative and analytical, and requires a clear vision to answer three questions: "why you?", "why now?", and "why here?"

Whether you are a start-up or an established firm planning for expansion and growth, you need a plan, and you need to be able to communicate it.

In 2015, after three decades of experience in the retail, wholesale and service sectors of small business, I earned an MBA at the rigorous one-year-full-time MBA program at the College of Charleston.

The non-traditional route of earning an MBA after so many years of work history allowed me to draw upon my vast experience to enrich the process, and I subsequently came to two conclusions:

  • Business is as much an art as it is a science. (If it were an exact science, everyone would be good at it.)
  • A business must focus on its entire health; growth and effiency are equally important.

Writing a formal business plan can be a daunting venture for many reasons, whether it's the time commitment, unfamiliarity with the nuts and bolts of financial projections or even a case of mild "writer's block" when faced with a blank page.

My unique history, experience and skills make me ideally suited to assist small businesses of all kinds in crafting formal written business plans or communicating their vision to an audience of investors.
